Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Snapshot Pro.

Is Snapshot Pro really free?

Yes, completely free. No premium tier, no feature gating, no ads. The full feature set is available to everyone.

Does it work on Edge and other Chromium browsers?

Yes! Snapshot Pro works on Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, and any Chromium-based browser. Install it from the Chrome Web Store.

Are my screenshots uploaded anywhere?

Never. All processing happens 100% locally in your browser. The only time data leaves your device is if you explicitly choose to upload to Google Drive, OneDrive, or create a GitHub issue.

Can I capture pages that require login?

Absolutely. Since Snapshot Pro runs as a browser extension, it captures exactly what you see — including authenticated pages, dashboards, and admin panels.

What about pages with lazy-loaded content?

The full-page scroll capture pre-scrolls the page to trigger lazy-loaded images and content before starting the actual capture. It also handles fixed headers, sticky elements, and infinite scroll pages.

How is this different from the built-in screenshot tools?

Chrome DevTools can capture screenshots, but Snapshot Pro adds 7 capture modes, a full annotation editor with layers, developer diagnostics, cloud uploads, keyboard shortcuts, and a privacy-first architecture. It's the difference between a utility and a professional tool.

Can I use it for automated testing?

Snapshot Pro is designed as an interactive tool, not for CI/CD automation. For automated screenshot testing, consider tools like Playwright or Puppeteer. Snapshot Pro excels at on-demand captures with rich annotation and developer context.

How do I report bugs or request features?

You can reach us at doubtletgo@gmail.com or use the Dev Snapshot feature with GitHub Issue Sync to create bug reports directly from the extension with full diagnostic context attached.
